Dr. Guy Roger Spencer was born on June 22, 1916 in Whiting, Kansas and became interested in veterinary medicine as a result of the years he spent on the family farm. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State College in 1940 and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1949.
